Fighting the spring blues

Filed under: May — Hennie van Heerden @ 7:31 am

Today Dennis Rademaker visited. We started early in the morning trying to find something worthwile to photograph. The weather in Holland has been nothing short from miserable. The only 2 days that we’ve had some sun, I was abroad where it was also cold and grey, so I hadn’t had a day of nice weather yet! So longing for some sunshine!! Also this sunday there was no light and a slight drizzle made it even harder to find and shoot something. But.. we started off quite nicely finding a male pheasant displaying. The low light circumstances forced me to go back to 1/200s but that turned out really well, when it was just enough to get the pheasant sharp and the wings blurred. Something I really like in a bird shot. Pasted 3 shots together of this dancing pheasant 🙂
